Re: Help for immigrants to the USA. The CSU campuses all use a software program called Glacier by Arctic Int'l. The program maintains up to the minute foreign work eligibility regulations. Prospective employees enter the relevant facts about themselves and the software spits out the names and numbers of the documents that will be required.
This is helpful not only to the immigrant but also to the employer: we do not have to keep abreast of the hundreds of tax treaty changes that occur each year. The immigrant knows exactly what they need and they know that we know exactly what is required.
This approach does, however, leave it up to the immigrant to learn how and where to get the proper documents.
