Look who's quitting?....Ron Paul
In a video posted to his campaign website, renegade Republican Ron Paul all but announces he's abandoning his quest for the White House. About 36 seconds into the video, Paul says: "Though victory in the conventional political sense is not available in the presidential race..."
That's some convoluted doublespeak for a man whose supporters touted him as a straight-talker. Why didn't he just say, "I tried, but I failed to connect with the American electorate?" That would be the truth.

Although our standards seem to have fallen to practically nonexistent, one could never witness Ron Paul speaking and associate the word "presidential" with him.

though i'm no fan of Ron Paul, particularly his extreme anti-abortion stance, i think its fair to say that he "connected with" millions of voters. quite a few more than my personal favorite, Dennis Kucinich, i'm afraid.
and Paul performed a public service by putting forth a clear anti-war, pro-constitution position in republican debates.
i salute him for being willing to take that foray into the belly of the beast, even if the beast eventually won.

With Ron Paul we saw the complete control the corporate media has over our country.
Good luck finding someone who is against the war, and not going to keep spending us into hyper-inflation- or not OWNED by the same corporations that create the "news".
Our movement is alive and well, and much like the Revolt Of 1776 many battles were lost to the Hudson Bay Corporation and their soldiers from England. In fact most battles were lost by Washington and our Founders, we never expected corporate media to allow our message out- but we did wake up many and our numbers are growing by the day, the more they attempt to silence us the stronger we become on our path to freeing our country.
This is far from being over and finished.
