My marriage is doing great, thank you.
I realize we all have our own opinions, but I'd sure appreciate it if others quit trying to protect my marriage. It's really doing well, thank you.
My favorite columnist, Jon Carroll, says it great, as usual.

What I meant was I think it's disingenuous for people to say they are doing something for one reason (in this case to protect the family) when it's really for a completely separate reason (their personal morality).
In Jon's column, he quotes, the AFA, "We cannot, and will not, sit by as Ford supports a social agenda aimed at the destruction of the family."
My marriage, my family, is not in any way threatened by two men or two women who love each other choosing to live together or by gays or lesbians raising children.
I get a little hot under the collar when I read about persecution of gays in defense of families and it made my reference a little unclear.
I don't think well when angry so I try to stay calm. Some things just get the better of me.
