Ashley Madison - No Longer A Sweet Little Girl's Name
Life is short. Have an affair.
What?! Seriously? A website dedicated to helping married people "hook-up" with other married people? Yikes! What the hell is wrong with people? If you are unhappy in your marriage then explore your options. Counseling, divorce, but seriously - having an affair because you married someone you might not like or otherwise be in love with - is certainly not the answer. And people wonder why our country's morals are going down the toilet bowl.
I don't appreciate anyone putting out such disgusting propaganda for adultery - which by the way, is still illegal in some states (Maryland for one). They aren't hiding it from the mainstream public which means kids are also seeing this garbage. I can tolerate a lot but geez, this is ridiculous.
What do you all think? Good? Bad?
Even the Superbowl said no to this (this site also tried to publish a full page ad of a woman in lingerie asking what you were "going to do" after the game"):
And this commercial just pisses me off:
Comments
those were disgusting...where did you find those?? This is turning (or has already turned) into an "anything goes" culture...people are into instant gratification without consequences...

I can't say I'm surprised but even so, I'm still appalled! Marriage isn't about sex, it's about friendship, love, respect, honoring your vows, things like that which should be taken not only seriously but whole-heartedly!!

Wow, I did a little Googling and it's real.
Okay, here's part of what makes me mad. Both of those commercials play on stereotypes (of an insensitive, disgusting man and a fat, annoying woman) and show the other spouse as being perfect and likeable. I guess it would be easier to have an affair if I could convince myself all my marital problems are my spouse's fault, and that I'm perfect, huh?

Not for me, either. Like you - counselling or divorce (or simply living with it) always seems like the correct option to me. Marriage is about so much more than sex and yet having sex with someone outside the partnership is surely a way of saying marriage and partnerships don't matter at all. As you say, what sort of message does that give to children.

Wow!! I can't believe that crap! And then people wonder why our society is going in the crapper?? Makes me sick...and reminds me that little man will only get to watch tv on the dvr!

Yikes! I'm glad I'm not alone on this. I initially saw this on Tyra Banks and when Superbowl came around, the site was mentioned again. Really gross stuff.
